      Yes, oats are allowed, as well as beans, and whole grains such as quinoa,
      brown rice, barley.

      I think people ALWAYS forget about metabolic damage, metabolic capacity,
      and metabolic type.. Please take that into consideration. Of course it’s
      about what type of food and drink, the amount, when you eat, the amount of
      exercise, amount of water, amount of sleep.. etc.. But it’s possible for
      someone to gain weight on a calorie restricted diet and it’s also possible
      for a person to NOT lose weight when eating too little and/or doing too
      much cardio.. There are also others who seemingly eat whatever they want,
      whenever they want, don’t exercise and are still able to be lean..

    Sounds EXACTLY like ME at 3:30 into this video!!!! I used to aim to
    restrict to 1200 calories/day and freak out if I went over. I would binge
    ALL the time and then beat myself up about it. I’m about 40 days in to
    eating vegan and feel so WONDERFUL eating this way… Mentally, I’m no longer
    depressed, have clearer thinking and I’m energetic! Thanks for all your
    informative videos and encouragement, Freelee!!!!

      so what’s your bodyfat % today Marie? most times, people who successfully
      lose weight when they go vegan do so because they are eating more fiber,
      which achieves satiety with less Calorie intake.

    I was originally very skeptical of all of this. But, for about the past
    week or so, this has been all in my head. I actually couldn’t stay away
    from your channel. So, I’m going to give this a go.

    Thank you so much for always beating your drum I never get sick of these
    videos especially since I hear (and interpret in foreign languages everyday
    at my current job) the contrary diet industry advice from overweight
    doctors. Without your videos I probably would have given up my pride and
    would have stopped being a hclf vegan. I fucked around with my weight for
    over 6 years and now I’m bulking up a year being high carb but for once I’m
    now longer skinny fat and I got actual muscle growing everywhere and I love
    running and working out. People laugh at me because I run so much and I’m
    still not fast but it’s hypocrisy because if was calorie counting and not
    working out they would admire me. I’m reaching a potential I have never
    felt before thank you.

    Calorie restriction isn’t only about weight loss Freelee, which seems to be
    your obsession, it can be for a much more, scientifically proven, valid

    longevity, cancer reversal, anti-aging, making quality of life better for
    people over the age of forty until death are all benefits of calorie

    This is science backed..your “hypothesis” about “smashing in the carbs”
    however is anecdotal.

    It is essential to maintain and build muscle during calorie restriction in
    order to not gain after restricting.

      +Elf Girl the “science” on caloric restriction for longevity is because
      you’re eating less CRAP when you calorie restrict. If you eat 3000 calories
      of whole foods you’re probably going to live even longer than someone who
      eats less food but eats shitty food.

    Ok… can you explain the science behind eating 10,000 calories of simple
    carbs a day and weight 150 pounds?

    You are possibly the most beautiful woman on the planet. Face, body,
    personality, Australian accent. I don’t know what drives me crazy more.
    Thank you for opening my eyes. I watch one of your videos on animal cruelty
    about 9 months ago. With tears in my eyes I decided to go vegan, giving up
    animal products cold turkey. I was painfully gassy for about 2 months, but
    my digestive system eventually got use to it. I look and feel much better

      Cold turkey is the only way to go vegan. I don’t know of any drugs that
      help you wean off of animal products.

    You and your boyfriend are SO thin because you are Vegans, ur bodies are
    consuming their own tissues to survive, you are just too ignorant of Human
    Biology to see this. You could eat 15,000 calories per day of a Raw Fruit
    Diet yet STILL lose weight because its NOT HEALTHY. Humans are evolved to
    eat COOKED foods, Fire is what changed our Brain size to explode, not
    Protein, not Carbs, but Fire, cooked foods are more easily absorbed and
    utilized. Eating Raw foods keeps the body from absorbing most of their
    energy or nutrients, thats why you and Harley look like you are starving,
    he is emaciated, not healthy looking at all. Try spending 10 years
    researching and educating yourself on the Human Organism, not “Food and
    diets”, and you will understand why Veganism is NOT the way Humans are
    built to eat.

      I call bullshit, good sir. I recognize that there is little protein in
      fruits; however, if one were to eat 15000 calories of fruit, you will
      *exceed* absolutely all of the macro-nutrients. I certainly believe that
      minimally cooked foods (i.e. lightly streamed) are the best, but yer
      over-exaggerating the downsides of raw foods.

      Of course you would; *macro-nutrients* that is (i.e. carbs, protein, fats).
      15000 calories would be a *huge* amount of plant-based food, especially if
      you eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. For instance, one
      watermelon is roughly 1300 calories. In one watermelon, there is 28 grams
      of protein; well over half of yer protein needs.

      Watermelon, as well as leafy green vegetables, is choked full of vitamin A.
      What are you talking about?

      ERRR wrong. Vitamin E can be obtained from avocados and sunflower seeds.

      Here’s the problem with that argument: most of the crops that we grow are
      used as livestock feed. The only way that I can completely eliminate animal
      suffering is to kill myself, but that would be ridiculous. We have to share
      this planet with the rest of the animal kingdom, so vegans recognize this
      payoff. But to charge us with hypocrisy because we can’t perfectly
      eliminate animal suffering is highly censorious. At least I’m attempting to
      reduce the amount of animal suffering in the world by actively boycotting
      the meat, dairy, and egg industries. It doesn’t make sense to just give up
      because the ideal is unrealistic.

      Hahaha, well there is the problem, you think 28 grams of Protein is “Well
      over half ur Protein needs”, lol, vegan propaganda rather than actual
      facts. I am not going to have a debate with someone who doesnt understand
      biochemistry needs or Nutritional facts. REAL vitamin A, known as
      “Retinol”, doesnt come in plants, that is in any significant amounts over
      trace, and the body really sucks at converting Beta Carotene into Retinol.
      The other vitamins are SO trace in plants that most vegans are deficient
      and don’t know it. Not to mention Protein Deficient, as most vegans are yet
      don’t even know the signs and symptoms. Yes, it is hypocritical to act like
      something you are not, and scorn non-vegans for being what they are, meat
      eating omnivores, and acting like you are “Helping the Planet” more than
      anyone else, because you are not. Veganism has had literally ZERO impact on
      any of the Meat industries, or the planets health, but it has damaged the
      human being’s natural place in the food chain. You are so disconnected from
      Nature and the food chain, thats the ONLY reason you are able to consume a
      vegan diet, if you had to live a wild, natural human existence, like nature
      intended, you wouldn’t survive without eating animals, it simply isnt
      possible to chew enough food in a day eating vegetables to get enough
      calories (or macro / micro nutrients at that) , a man (an active, real man
      that is, not a skinny jean wearing hipster with a fuaxbeard) requires at
      least 3500 per day to survive natural environments, and a woman, 3000, You
      would be chewing all day, and we are not cows, we aren’t designed to eat
      constantly, we are intermittent feeders. You think those animals are all
      “Suffering”, however, most of them are better fed and sheltered and treated
      than if they lived a wild life, and when they are slaughtered, its fast and
      humane, NOTHING like a natural death in the wild being torn apart by
      predators or dying from disease or major trauma, or starvation. Animals
      suffer next to nothing in reality compared to whats in the heads of Vegans,
      I’m betting you suffer more over the thought than they do in real
      life.(PETA propaganda videos are NOT real life) See the thing is, you are
      confused thinking that death is “BAD” and life is “Good”, and that nothing
      needs to die to feed something else, its childish naiveté and ignorance of,
      or refusal to accept reality and the truth of how the world and nature
      works, you instead overlay your idealistic and unrealistic template of your
      dream world over reality so you can feel morally superior, when you’re not.
      So yea, its warranted to call you on your BS. Veganism is not a healthy
      human diet, its just biological fact, not opinion.
