What DR is doing currently is very interesting because it’s not only about
“giving advices” that anyone external to this diet will just take as BS
(“yeah, she says this, but off camera she’s doing that”), it’s about
showing that you’re actually living on this and thriving. So short rants
videos are nice as reminders, but seeing the real thing (obviously on
longer videos) is more motivating to me. For example since DR started his
30 days challenge, I understood that I can eat more at night and should not
worry if I have a cooked meal of potatoes or rice a couple times a week
(when it’s cold in Winter, I like to have something more “consistent” from
times to times; in Summer I have no problem eating raw fruits all day
    long).

I prefer video for 5 minutes, not more. I like to see : Carbs not make you
fat. For example when you show us what you eat. A lot of potatoes, pasta,
bananas, dates. Videos like that are very inpiring. I want really feel that
UNLIMITED CARBS DONT MAKE YOU FAT! because this sound incredible.

I love seeing what you eat because coming from a restrictive past, looking
at how healthy, happy, thin, and fit you are eating yummy carbs in
abundance gives me hope and gives me the courage to keep smashing in the
carbs!!! Thank you for all you do. :)

You’ve grown on me so much Freelee, I look forward to your videos every day
and I’m officially on the road to a fully raw lifestyle. I too have had
quite a difficult past, eating disorders etc but your positive, life loving
attitude has really helped me put things into perspective. I just wanted to
    say thank you.

Thank you so much 🙂 I’m really glad I’m helping. Sometimes we need to get
tough with ourselves and realise what is truly important in life and
carrying a bit of extra temporary weight isn’t.

Hey Freelee, I think it would really mean a lot to your followers if you
promoted your book as donation only. That way, we would know you’re not
just trying to sell us something. I think it would give the movement even
      more credibility!

    @Beth Gale
I hear ya and I too came from a very harsh eating disorder background but I
chose that situation and I was not in a state of gratitude, I was in a
state of pity for myself. My purpose in life had become feeling sorry for
myself and attracting situations and people that confirmed this. I’m here
to help wake others out of that craziness. We always have a choice as to
what emotion we entertain, it’s a tough world out there, it’s not all love
and hugs so we need to step up or we will get knocked down. Carb up first
and foremost and an attitude of gratitude is SO much easier to find!

how come you don’t have any pictures from your anorexia days? Seeing this
kind of “stop whining, your problems aren’t as important as other people’s
so you don’t have the right to complain” attitude, doesn’t say “eating
disorder background”. Were you diagnosed or are you self-proclaimed “used
      to be anorexic/bulimic” ?

yes there certainly are people who could try harder, but saying “get a
life” isn’t exactly stellar advice. congrats on being yet another voice
that separates “real” problems (blind, war zone, etc.) from people’s mental
and emotional struggles. you’re not being supportive at all of mental
health. EVERYONE deserves to have compassion, not only people who have
      “real” enough problems.

Don’t think of it as 15 pounds of fat…. Think of it as 15 pounds of
healing 🙂 be thankful for it!

I’m teaching in Korea at a school for the blind…it has opened my eyes to
how thankful I am for the little things…the little things are the big
things. Today I found myself looking out of the window between classes to
see the leaves fall from the tree…to know that some of my students will
never experience something so simple is really hard but it has made me so
grateful for the little things. Great video Freelee!

Freelee~ I think this has to be my FAV video so far (unless I’ve said that
before 🙂 But this also applies directly to why I fear eating so much. I
appreciate you taking someone’s concern/question and sharing your
experience! It lets me know what you went through, how you handled it and
where you are now. LOVE, LOVE, LOVED it!! Heartfelt thanks to you!!

everyone’s perception is subjective, like everybodys life, feelings a.s.o.
You should NEVER say smth. like “there are a hundred thousand people out
there who feel worse than you. THAT SHOULDN’T MATTER! If they feel bad,
THEY FEEL BAD. And it makes them even feel worse telling them, that their
life isn’t that bad, that there are people who are “really suffering”.
Everybody’s suffering is individual, like your life and your experiences. I
really like you, but in this case i do not agree with you, freelee. BUT I
have to admit, I don’t think it’s okay to do nothing against circumstances
like these either. If someone feels crappy, the person should work for it.

This is where I have to partly disagree. Appearances are important for
some people and that’s OK. I can see that your appearance is somewhat an
important matter to you so can’t you put yourself in someone else’s shoes?
I understand the message but you could be a little more sensitive about
it. Yes, there are people in the world with much more serious problems but
that doesn’t mean that first world problems do not effect people and get
them down sometimes and mess with people mentally. Telling someone to get
a life is a little insensitive and it doesn’t feel reassuring. It feels
    more like a telling off.
